Our Farms

At Doo-Wops Delivery we pride ourselves not just in providing the highest quality locally sourced products, but also in ensuring that our customers have access to the healthiest and most natural of options to choose from. In order to do this, we spoke with a multitude of local farms to find out about their process. Great quality isn’t just an end game. At least not for us. In our view, it begins with how the animals are treated. Despite what many people think, cows are extremely intelligent and the quality of the milk they produce is linked to stress levels. In other words, an unhappy cow will produce less milk and in lower quality than a happy cow. What makes cows happy you may ask… not so differently from us, they want to feel safe, eat good nutritious food, have proper housing and above all, feel like they are part of the family. This is exactly the kind of treatment we found at RonnyBrook Farm, and it is precisely the reason we chose to source our products from them.  


RonnyBrook Farm transports you to the times of yesteryear. That romanticized period in our minds where life was perhaps simpler, safer and no doubt healthier! The farm has been run by the same family since its inception all the way back in 1941 and has long been committed to doing things the “old fashioned way.” This strategy has served them well as they have won countless awards and accolades ranging from being named Best Dairy in the Hudson Valley by Hudson Valley Magazine, to Best Eggnog by The Huffington Post. “Its fresh we process the milk the same day that the cows are milked and deliver it within 48 hours. We are local- we are less than 90 miles from NYC. You can come visit and see where your dairy products come from. Our cows spend as much time as Mother Nature allows grazing on lush green pasture.

In addition to Ronnybrook milk, we also source a line of milk from another milk processor called Mountainside Farms. Their UltraPureTM milk is produced at the company’s Roxbury, NY facility in the Catskill Mountains. They have been around since the early 2000’s and employ the “Family Farm to Family Table” motto! That is why all of our hens are raised in accordance to USDA regulations and American Humane Certified Standards. Everyone of our hens are raised in ways which reduce stress and with adequate shelter, comfortable resting areas, sufficient space, proper facilities and the ability to express normal behavior. Our philosophy is that happy, healthy animals, produce better eggs. Our hens are fed a special all-natural vegetarian feed rich in whole grains.

Goffle Road Poultry Farm has been a family owned and operated business  for 4 generations. Joseph and Rose Silvestri came over from Italy in 1920 and started Belmont Poultry in Paterson, N.J. in the 1930’s. In 1948, Joseph and Rose’s son, Dominic, started Goffle Road Poultry Farm of Wyckoff, N.J. To this day Goffle Road Poultry Farm is operated as a family owned business by the current owner and grandson, Joseph Silvestri, and great-grandson, Brian Silvestri.

In recent years, we have found it difficult to grow all of our birds on our plot in New Jersey. Therefore, to maintain our strong stance on free-range and all natural birds, we began working with Amish farmers in Pennsylvania. Thanks to their strong, old-world traditions, we are able to combine our efforts in order to continue producing fresh and healthy poultry.

Our mission statement is as follows: To provide the highest quality product at the lowest possible cost. To give our customers an all-natural, custom grown, and processed product that is free of antibiotics, hormones, preservatives, and animal by-products. We strive to be humane in the treatment of all our animals, and observe strict State and Federal policies in the processing of our birds.

Our chickens are free-roaming, antibiotic free, hormone free, steroid free and are not fed animal-byproducts. Additionally, our eggs never sit long in storage, usually reaching our shelves within 24-48 hours after being laid. This, combined with a vegetarian diet, produces an extraordinarily exceptional product that our customers have come to love.

HarBee Beekeeping is a suburban beekeeping operation based in Bergen County NJ with the goal of developing a more sustainable food system through a love for honey. Being both ecological and socially sustainable is important to HarBee Beekeeping. Using the most up-to-date scientific information HarBee works to produce honey the best honey nature will allow. 

The Short Story

Pat Harrison, the owner and beekeeper, graduated from Bergen Community College and went on to get a BS in Environmental Science from Ramapo College. Growing up in Dumont NJ Pat earned the rank of Eagle Scout while always having a love for the nature world. During Pat’s time in school that love for the natural world developed into an obsession with honeybees and agriculture.

Not wanting to wait for the government to make sweeping and meaningful environmental change and action, Pat founded HarBee Beekeeping. HarBee is built on the beliefs that 1) we need that start to grow food in our urban and suburban areas 2) We need to do it in a way that is environmentally, socially, and economically sustainable.
